A smooth, flowing garden with a contemporary feel was created at Borderlands

The main patio area is paved in a riven sandstone and enclosed by a new boundary wall. The intimate feeling is completed by a timber pergola, with a contemporary steel wire cabling system, that guides and supports the new scented climbers and vines.

This area then leads onto a paved path that sweeps around the kidney shaped lawn, to raised kitchen beds and the second curved pergola. This area is also swathed in pretty aromatic climbers which will enclose the curved pergola to create a natural tunnel!

The main feature of the garden is an impressive water feature. This starts back at the main patio area where water cascades down a mirrored surface into a small pool. It then winds its way along a slate lined rill, that borders the lawn, all the way down to a circular pool area in the bottom corner of the garden. Here it forms part of an enclosed paved area with a rendered seat and view back into the main garden
